For some years, Goodreads offered a corner where one could post original material, of whatever sort. Sadly, in 2022 they shut that down. I had included several original short stories there plus some kid poems. None have been published, nor, having been once displayed on Goodreads, will they find receptive publishers. So, for now at least, I am building them a nest here, the stories at least, beginning with one I am particularly fond of, The Short Goodbye. You will find this, and any that eventually follow, on the dropdown Stories list on the main Coot’s menu bar.
